As the part of the project "Innovative learning and teaching in higher education (INOVUP)" a workshop titled "The Importance and Usage of Computational Thinking in Learning and Teaching" was organised by dr. Andrej Brodnik (UP FAMNIT & DIST) and dr. Sonja Čotar Konrad (UP Faculty of Education).

At the workshop they first defined what computational thinking is, and emphasized the importance of training and systematic development of computational thinking in children and adolescents for the wider psychological development of an individual. They presented an example of good practice of using and integrating computational thinking into different subject areas, and tried to answer some questions that are now opening up when integrating computer thinking into the pedagogical process.
